PaintRight Southbank Delves into the Local Art Scene
THE LOCAL ART SCENE
The PaintRight Southbank team delved into the local arts scene, donating a range of paint to artist Rafaella McDonald as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival.
Local artist McDonald, painted a mural across the wall of the Readings bookstore in Carlton as part of the ‘Uncommon Places’ projects with vibrant Haymes paints. Haymes colours used included Bright Orange, Sugared Peach, Angora, Peppy, Poppy Orange, Viking, Botany and Pitch Black.
PaintRight Southbank are proud to support local artist Rafaella Mcdonald with her exhibition being shown at the Shepparton Art Museum. Here are some images from the exabition.

Stephen Benwell and Deborah Halpern are ceramic artists who were particularly celebrated and prolific throughout the 1990's, and who continue to make work and exhibit today. Uniquely, the Shepparton Art Museum has collected each artists' work consistently throughout their careers, enabling this spotlighted showcase.
As a counterpoint, emerging Melbourne-based fashion designer Rafaella McDonald has produced an integrated exhibition design in response to elements in the ceramists' visual lexicon. Referencing the vibrant colouration and strong patterning, McDonald's approach affirms the pervasive 90's influence on contemporary fashion and visual culture, reinvigorating the collection by setting up new conversations and juxtapositions.
Rafaella used Ultra Premium Low Sheen Acrylic for the VOC properties.
